A History of Haiti

For a long time, the people of Haiti have been living with bad governance and corruption resulting in desperation and poverty. In addition, when natural disasters occur, the lack of infrastructure makes full recovery seemingly unattainable.

Frequently, well-intended organizations bring in trained labor for short periods of time from the Dominican Republic. This is easier and less expensive than training Haitians, who are typically unemployed and less educated.

While much good has been and is still being done for Haiti, her people are still in need. Planting hope is a simple plan to grow hope from the ground up!
